Gerhard Hirsch - Director / DoP
Gerhard Hirsch is a commercial Director / DoP with his own studio in Frankfurt. His career began in 1984 as a photographer while shooting an international campaign for Adidas in NYC and London. His camerawork - very much influenced by his stills work - started 1990 with four Jim Beam commercials in the States, showing the compelling night life of San Francisco and New York, quite a challenge in these days. Gerhard won numerous international film prices for his outstanding camera work, including New York, Los Angeles and Cannes. Gerhard is an incredibly diverse director and DoP from food to cars, from still life to people which contributes to each other. Gerhard about himself: "Pictures are always my 'living' whether I am working as a director, DoP or still photographer, because it is creating that keeps me feeling alive. I pour my heart into everything I create, with consistently compelling imagery with the highest production value I can possibly create for my customers."
